NATIONAL & STATE ACTIVITIES

On a national basis social events are organised for the purposes of fund raising. The national body is responsible for compiling membership registers and a bi-annual issue of The Taverner magazine. This publication informs all members of the Lord's Taverners Australia of the many and varied activities of each State and Territory branch.


Fund raising golf days, cocktail parties & raffles;
Social cricket matches and dinners;
Selling ties, merchandise & memorabilia;
Special arrangements for matches against the Prime Minister's XI.























Providing financial assistance for coaching etc of deserving ACT sporting organisations ACTCA Junior Council

ACTCA Junior Cricket; ACT Women's junior cricket; Integrated Secondary College & School's Cricket; Imparja Cup indigenous cricketers; Vision Impaired Cricketers; Disabled children's 'Table-Top' Cricket.

Recognising the most promising young male and female cricketer in the ACT each year by the Graham Wilkinson Memorial Junior Lord's Taverner Award - inclusion on the award's honour roll, a trophy and a monetary gift.

Providing financial or other assistance to disadvantaged young sportsmen and sportswomen in the ACT and district, in a wide variety of sports.

The Lord’s Taverners Sponsorship Of Table-Top Cricket The Lord's Taverners have placed their support behind the sport in their bid to assist those less fortunate to participate in the game of cricket.

In conjunction with the ACT Cricket Assocation (ACT CA), the Taverners continue to sponsor ‘Table Top Cricket’ in the ACT, with an annual sum of $5000. Download the rules and description of the game by clicking the link below

The Taverners also sponsor the attendance of 100 disadvantaged children at the annual PM's IX versus the visiting international touring team.
